Navicatch — Born on the Water, Inspired by the Fish

I’ve been captivated by fishing since my childhood.

For most of that time, I visited Jones beach and ventured into the surf day after day, learning the patterns of the tides and how to interpret shifts in the water’s tone. Most importantly, I learned about the nature and behavior of the baitfish — those less-known fish at the bottom of the food chain that feed the predators of the Atlantic day after day.

Driven by pure passion and backed by my family’s lure manufacturing business, I began designing metal jigs, focusing on closely mimicking real Atlantic foraging fish. At first, these jigs were made for myself and a few close friends.

The results of our first few outing surprised everyone, myself included. Across different conditions and at different locations, the jigs consistently resulted in impressive catches. We found ourselves with Striped Bass, Bluefish, Spanish, King, and Cero Mackerel, Bonito, Pompano, Snook, Ladyfish, Pinfish, Barracuda, Billfish, Swordfish and many more species which rely on the Atlantic baitfish.

Word of the jig’s impressive catches spread quickly, with demand growing based on their careful design and superior hauls. In this way, what began as a personal project became Navicatch — a small, focused brand dedicated to East Coast metal jigs that simply work.

Building on the original jig design, we developed multiple hook configurations, carefully tailored to different target species to allow for focused angling. By designing these highly precise variants, we allow anglers to fish more precisely and with confidence as to what they are likely to catch — across inlets or on the open water.

At Navicatch, our mission is simple:

Help anglers catch fish more easily and enjoy fishing in a way they haven’t before.

At the same time, sustainability is a top priority and focus.

Navicatch jigs are paired with special hooks featuring smaller barbs, designed to reduce mouth damage as much as possible, my firm intention being to balance between hook-up performance and regard for the ecosystem and fish which provide us with such an amazing pastime.

Navicatch isn’t the product of a corporate boardroom.

It was built on the beach, tested on the surf of the East Coast of Long Island, and brought to life by real results which drew anglers from far and wide.

Designed by anglers. Refined by results. Made for the Atlantic.
